Investors choose Porto as favorite place to invest in 2022
The city of Porto is one of the destinations chosen by real estate investors for 2022, according to the report "Global Luxury Landscape", developed by Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices.
This document presents the trends in luxury real estate markets around the world, and reveals the favorite places to invest in 2022.
Downtown Porto appears in a list of 14 places not to be missed in 2022, along with regions such as Colli Piacentini, in Italy, Puerto Cancun, in Mexico, Virginia Beach, in the United States of America, among other unmissable regions for investment in 2022.
The Cedofeita area is also highlighted, for its offer of bars, restaurants, culture or heritage, and for the foreign investment it has attracted, namely markets such as the USA or Israel.
André Jennings, from Berkshire Hathway HomeServices Portugal Property, points out in a statement that "Baixa and Cedofeita had a price increase of 10% compared to 2014, the year from which Porto began to see increasing levels of tourism. Porto is a city on the rise, which appeals to those looking for a relaxed and unpretentious place to live, and where there is still much to develop."
For his part, Pedro Trezentos, Head of Operations at BHHS Atlantic Portugal, points out that "the city of Porto is a must-see destination and one of the Portuguese stars in the tourism sector. Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, the city combines modernity and tradition in a very special way. Distinguished as the Best European Destination several times over the last few years, it has become popular for tourism but also for real estate investment.
He adds that "today with an offer of high quality commercial and residential assets - able to satisfy the needs of the most demanding national and international investors - Porto has been consolidating its position in the real estate market and is today the first choice of many investors in Portugal. Known for the authenticity and hospitality of its people, it has to offer an architectural, artistic, cultural, historical and gastronomic wealth without parallel".
